BAFA is proud to announce the launch of a new development programme designed to boost participation in British American football.

With the aid of a large grant from Sport England's Impact & Improvement Fund, BAFA will be delivering training to new coaches and officials, and working with clubs to further develop effective governance and to support the fostering of better relationships between clubs and their local sporting communities. In addition, the programme will develop new strategy and policy in the areas of youth football, flag football, and move the Governing Body towards meeting the Equity Standard for the sport.

After a competitive tendering process, BAFA has appointed two firms of consultants to assist with these goals. Oaks Consultancy (based in the Midlands) and Press Red (based in London) will work with BAFA to deliver the strategy

BAFA Chairman Gary Marshall said, We are delighted that we have been successful in obtaining funding from Sport England and we are confident that the sport will benefit enormously from this injection of funding.

More details of the activities relating to the programme will be issued shortly.
