The BAFA is delighted to announce the appointment of Jon Tait as Head Coach of the GB Lions youth and junior flag football teams. Coach Tait will take-up the role immediately. He said, "I am very pleased to be offered this position and can now begin the process of organising and building the programme over the coming months."

Coach Tait has an impressive record of organising flag football and achieving success on the field. His Woodham Warriors programme has consistently been among the best in the UK with the highlight of competing in the 2007 NFL World Schools Flag Championship in 2007. Coach Tait has also received the BAFCA Flag Football Coach of the Year Award three times.

BAFA National Programme Lead Director, Jim Messenger said, "In Jon Tait we have a very competent coach to lead the GB Lions flag teams for the younger age ranges. Coach Tait will initially oversee both these age ranges with a view to developing other coaches into leading roles. I look forward to working with Jon over the coming months to establish this aspect of the National Programme.
