BAFCA President, Jim Messenger recently attended the NFL Youth Football Summit in Canton, Ohio. The summit brought together high school and youth football coaches from all over the USA plus several other nations. Each US state was represented by one delegate together with international representation from Canada, Japan, Mexico, Bahamas and the UK. The Summit featured two days of presentations and discussions at the superb Kent State University Conference Centre in Canton.

Jim Messenger said, 'This was a outstanding event. We take for granted that the NFL delivers high-quality, but even then my expectation was exceeded. The organisation, facilities and activities were fabulous. The quality of the guest speakers was outstanding and it was great to meet so many excellent coaches working to develop and deliver youth football. It would be very hard to think of any way this event could have been better."

Canton is famous as the home of the NFL Pro Hall of Fame and at the end of day one all the delegates were treated to a private evening reception at the landmark site. Messenger commented, "The Hall of Fame function was great. It provided another opportunity to network and bond with fellow coaches in an awe-inspiring setting. I would like to thank Alexia Gallagher and the organising team from the NFL for a fabulous event. I would also like to thank our colleagues at USA Football for arranging the invitation."
