GB Lions seek Assistant Coaches and Team Administrators

With the BAFA National Programme now swinging into full operation, BAFA and the GB Lions invite applications for Assistant coaches for all squads, Adult contact, youth contact, adult flag and youth/junior flag Team Managers and Assistants at youth contact and youth/junior flag.

The GB Lions are looking to appoint individuals with a strong desire to contribute significantly towards the goal of making Great Britain the best American football nation in Europe.

Assistant Coaching Positions
The successful candidates will display good interpersonal and organisational skills; ability to work efficiently as part of a team; be well presented and committed to personal development; have a solid understanding of football techniques, strategies, practice and game procedures whilst still being willing to learn.

All positions are entirely voluntary and unsalaried. Appointees will be expected to commit to a programme of practice camps and game events at their own expense. In return, they can expect to be part of a dynamic programme which offers opportunities to compete at the international level and work with some of the best coaches in the country.

Applicants for contact football teams must hold as minimum a BAFCA Level 1 qualification. Applicants for Flag football squads that do not currently hold BAFCA Level 1 will be required to undertake this before taking-up post.
 
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. All individuals selected for these positions will be required to complete an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure, for which BAFA will cover the cost.

Applications received by 01/02/09 will receive preferential consideration but each post will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. BAFA and the GB Lions reserve the right to invite applications. Interviews will be arranged for candidates who pass the initial selection.

Team Managers and Assistants
The successful candidates will display good interpersonal and communication skills; have ability to work efficiently as part of a team; be well presented; have good numeracy and literacy skills; have knowledge of Microsoft Office package; be able to deal with collecting and accounting of fees and contributions.

Positions are voluntary and unsalaried although agreed expenses may be paid. Appointees will be expected to commit to supporting a year-round programme of practice camps, game events, meetings and administration work.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older. All individuals selected for these positions will be required to complete an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau disclosure, for which BAFA will cover the cost.

Applications received by 08/02/09 will receive preferential consideration but each post will remain open until a suitable candidate is found. BAFA and the GB Lions reserve the right to invite applications. Interviews will be arranged for candidates who pass the initial selection.
