The BAFA congratulates the Inverness Blitz Academy of American Football on their third place in the 2009, CCPR Sports Club of the Year award.

Dave and Bette Paulin collected their award and prize money from Gold medal winner, Rebecca  Romero at the awards ceremony at the Grange City Hotel in London last night (May 4th).

Also present at the awards dinner was BAFA WSP Manager, Ken Walters. Ken commented, "I am overjoyed that a club from our sport has received such a prestigious award", Ken added, "Three years ago, American Football was not a member of the CCPR. Two years ago I attended the Sports Club of the Year awards for the first time and hoped that one day we would have a winner. Today, after many years of hard work by Dave, Bette, Robbie and all the guys in Inverness, our sport has achieved that goal – well done!"
