BAFA contribute to Equality and Human Rights Commission strategy

BAFA WSP Manager, Ken Walters, was recently invited by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) to attend a meeting with illustrious company and contribute on their strategy for sport.

Present at the meeting were:
Paul Clark – Chief Executive, England Netball
Joyce Cook – Chair, National Association of Disabled Supporters (NADS)
Garth Crooks – Broadcaster and former professional footballer, Special Adviser on racial equality in football to the EHRC
Wasim Khan – Former county cricketer, Operations Director for ‘Chance to Shine’
Peter King – British Cycling's Chief Executive 1996-2008 – now Executive Director
Nigel Owens – Rugby Union international and Heineken Cup referee, Stonewall's Sportsperson of the Year 2007

Other contributors not present included:
Paul Elliott – Broadcaster and former professional footballer, Special Adviser on racial equality in football to the EHRC
Dame Kelly Holmes – Double British Olympic gold medal winner
