BAFA would like to invite applications from suitably qualified persons for the following positions within the National Programme structure.

1. Head Coach GB Lions Flag - Cadets (U.13) Reference HC13

2. Head Coach GB Lions Flag - Junior (U.15) Reference HC15

3. Team Manager GB Lions Flag (Cadet & Junior) Reference TMF

4. Welfare Officer GB Lions Flag (Cadet & Junior) Reference WOF

Application is by letter in the first instance, to include a CV.

Candidates are asked to supply name, DOB, contact address/tel. number, e-mail.

The application should be based around the CV to include relevant coaching experience (including BAFCA qualifications held) personal qualities that apply to the position and any other information deemed to be of relevance.

All positions within the BAFA National Programme must hold current BAFA Membership & Insurance, additionally all Coaches within the programme must be members of BAFCA.

The current Criminal Records Bureau enhanced disclosure process applies to the posts.

Head Coach:

About the Job:
To deliver high a quality of coaching in the relevant age groups.
To take a professional approach in the planning, preparation and organisation of trials, selection & training camps.
To be part of the selection process: to support and assist other coaches that work with you.
To display consistent high standards of behaviour in accordance with the BAFCA code of conduct
To respect the rights of the participants and ensure their wellbeing and safety is considered at all times.

About the Applicant
Should have experience of coaching young people.
Should hold a BAFCA coaching qualification (at least Level 1).
Should have a good knowledge and understanding of the game.
Must be a confident and effective communicator and have the ability to motivate yourself, coaches and players as well as working effectively as a team member.
Current driving license and own transport an advantage
Approved 1st Aid certificate an advantage.

Manager GB Lions Flag (U13 & U 15 Squads)

About the Job:
To be responsible for selecting, with the approval of the BAFA, any additional administration staff if required for selection and training camps.
To liase with the Head Coaches and Welfare Officer on the planning and organising of camps and trials, and to collect participants fees where necessary
To be responsible for recording the attendance details; including name address and emergency contact number of all attending selection and practice camps, and competition.
To be responsible for keeping an Accident/Incident Record Book.
To be responsible for distributing information to Clubs, participants and Parents

About the Applicant:
Should have experience of working with young people.
Should have a reasonable knowledge and understanding of the game.
Should have Administration experience.
Must be a confident and effective communicator, and able to work effectively as a team member.
A current driving license and own transport an advantage

Welfare Officer GB Lions Flag (U13 & U 15 Squads)

About the Job:
To ensure the well being and safety of the participants is considered at all times.
To ensure accurate records are maintained, and the appropriate paperwork is completed throughout the duration of the programme e.g. attendance records, consent forms CRB checks
To liase with the Head Coaches and Manager on the planning and organising of camps and trials
To ensure that all Adults meet with the obligations required under the relevant Child Protection Policy.
To ensure requirements are met as regards insurance cover for participants

About the Applicant:
Should have experience of working with young people.
Should be familiar with Child Protection policy and procedures
Should have attended/will attend a Child Protection Basic Awareness Course.
